Baptist Church Leader Confirms the Truth of Ellen White’s ‘reflex influence’ Statement

Non-Adventists are discovering what Adventists were told over 100 years ago—

“Direct involvement of congregations on the mission field has accelerated evangelistic harvest and enhanced our impact around the world. It has been an obvious factor in successive years of record missionary appointments, record levels of giving, and increased involvement in intercessory prayer for missionaries and the nations. Most pastors would testify that getting their people personally involved in international missions has resulted in greater commitment to local witness and outreach as well.” – Jerry Rankin, president, International Mission Board (of the Southern Baptist Convention) in 2004

“The home missionary work will be farther advanced in every way when a more liberal, self-denying, self-sacrificing spirit is manifested for the prosperity of foreign missions; for the prosperity of the home work depends largely, under God, upon the reflex influence of the evangelical work done in countries afar off. It is in working actively to supply the necessities of the cause of God that we bring our souls in touch with the Source of all power.” Ellen White in 1900 in Testimonies vol. 6, p. 27
